The Heartbeat Award is a nationally recognised
award supported by the Health Education Council and the Chartered institute
of Environmental Health. It is given to caterers who demonstrate a commitment
to customer care through the provision of a healthier environment and
healthier food choices.
The award is also about offering customers choice
and meeting customer demand. Many people are becoming more health conscious
so it makes good sense to provide healthier food choices that can be
enjoyed in a hygenic and smoke-free environment.
Founded
in 1967, the Tea Council is an independent body dedicated to promoting
tea and its unique story for the benefit of those who produce, sell,
and enjoy tea the world over.
The Tea Council is a non-profit making organization funded by contributions
from the tea producing countries and the UK Tea Trade.
The Tea Council pursues a policy of developing projects which seek
to alter attitudes to tea and thus influence drinking habits and consumption
trends in the UK. In so doing, it aims to provoke a re-appraisal of
tea. It promotes the generic proposition that tea is natural, additive
and calorie free, and an integral part of contemporary, healthy lifestyles.
